Welcome to the Town of Russell, located in Lincoln County. Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator The Town of Russell is seeking a part-time Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator to assist with all-seasons of public works maintenance. The Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator must hold a minimum of a Class B CDL and either have a Class A CDL or be able to achieve it within six months of hire. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Successful candidates will have experience operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment. Three years of experience in highway maintenance, repair, and construction is preferred. A valid, unrestricted, Wisconsin Class A CDL (air-brake and manual transmission qualified). Equipment Operator duties include performing skilled work of varied nature involving the operations of repairing, clearing and maintaining town roads and right-of-ways. Full job description available upon request. Position uses multiple types of motorized equipment and performs other manual labor tasks. Position may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays for snow removal and storm damage cleanup as needed; winter hours vary based on snow removal needs. We are planning to fundraise through February 2027, with installation of the pavilion planned for spring and summer of 2027. Now that we have a playground at Rice Park, we'd love to add a pavilion to expand park offerings. This pavilion will be a great way for families to enjoy the park more, whether it be as location for a picnic or as a place to have a graduation party, family reunion or other special gatherings.
