Attached is the research I completed on rural opinions about wolves in Wisconsin, and a map (PDF) that goes with it. If anyone has any questions or comments, they can contact me at 715-453-6301. I hope this effort enhances Wisconsin’s responsible wolf management, which now involved two committees, one which will meet in late May to develop a harvest season for this fall. THE DNR has already announced that they will not allow that harvest season to create any substantive changes in wolf numbers, pending the completion of a new management plan. Again, if anyone wishes to make a statement to polictymakers, either the Natural Resources Board or as a public comment at upcoming meetings, contact me to find out how or go on the DNR website for instructions.
